India Platform meeting at UGent: India related projects at UGent

Representatives from many different faculties and departments were present. It was surprising to see how many, often small-scale, projects the UGent already had with India. Besides an overview of some of the existing projects, suggestions were made for the development of new projects such as a ‘survival Hindi course’ at the University Language Centre or the creation of a ‘Rethinking Politics in India’ conference cluster. Structural, long term collaborations with Indian institutes and the establishment of Memoranda of Understanding and Cooperation Agreements were discussed.
